Psychological Assessments
The following types of psychological testing is offered:
Adult ADHD Testing: $800+
Assessment will diagnose or rule-out Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). The assessment involves a clinical interview, psychological testing focused on attention, memory, concentration, and executive functioning, as well as cognitive and emotional measures. A feedback session and psychological report will be provided at the end of testing, which will include recommendations. This evaluation may be used to obtain academic/work accommodations or additional support.
Adult Trauma Testing: $700+
Assessment will diagnose or rule-out Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). The assessment typically involves a clinical interview, trauma-specific and emotional measures, and personality testing. A feedback session and psychological report will be provided at the end of testing, which will include recommendations. This evaluation can help provide clarity on how psychological symptoms may be impacting present health and functioning. The evaluation may be used to obtain academic/work accommodations, legal aid, or other support.
Adult Personality and Emotional Testing: $600+
Assessment will evaluate your personality, mental health, and emotional functioning. The assessment involves a clinical interview, emotional measures, and personality testing. A feedback session and psychological report will be provided at the end of testing. The evaluation can assist you in better understanding your personality traits, emotional and social functioning, and behavioral patterns.
Psychological testing typically takes 2 to 4 appointments to complete, with each appointment lasting between anywhere between 1 to 2.5 hours, depending on the psychological measures involved.
A 10% discount is offered to Students, Active Duty Military and Military Spouses, Veterans, First Responders, and Seniors (65+) on full fee services only.
Sliding scale fees are available for a limited number of clients starting as low as $40 per therapy session and $200 for psychological testing.
If affordability is a concern, please mention this during our initial phone consultation. It is incredibly important to me that therapy and psychological testing remains accessible to you.
Payment is due at the beginning of each appointment. Prior to beginning therapy/psychological testing, you will receive a Good Faith Estimate of expected costs. For more information see here.
Fees
Sessions are out of network, as is common in the DC area. However, clients can receive reimbursement from their insurance provider. I will work with you to help make this process as smooth as possible.

What to expect when you get started with therapy
First Steps
You may be wondering whether individual therapy is right for you or if it can even help. The best way to begin exploring that is by scheduling a complimentary 15-minute phone consultation by getting in touch using the contact form.
During this call, we’ll talk about what you’re hoping to gain from therapy, and you’ll have the chance to ask any questions. If it feels like a good fit, we will discuss next steps together.
First Session
During our first session, we will talk about your history, your current experiences, and your goals for therapy. This helps us determine the best approach for your care. You will also complete any necessary forms.
Sessions are typically 50 minutes and are conducted remotely through a secure, HIPAA compliant telehealth platform.
Continuing Therapy
Usually by around your third session, you will have a good sense of whether you want to continue therapy. The length of therapy varies by person - some people benefit from short-term therapy, while others prefer longer-term support based on their needs and circumstances.
You are always free to end therapy any time.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
The length of therapy depends on you, your goals and what you’re experiencing. For some people, short-term therapy can significantly improve their daily life. Others may decide longer-term therapy is most helpful. Research shows about half of people experience meaningful improvement after eight sessions. No matter the length, we will work together to develop a plan that supports your goals and needs.
-
Yes. Virtual therapy has been shown to be just as effective as in-person therapy. I have provided therapy in both settings and have found them each to be beneficial. For many clients, virtual therapy offers increased flexibility and accessibility. Whether you have a busy schedule, want to avoid traffic or commute concerns, or are caring for children or elders, virtual therapy can be a convenient and supportive option.
-
Therapy is a space for honest, meaningful conversation with someone you trust. Depending on your goals, our work may include building coping skills, exploring your past to better understand current challenges, and/or working toward changing behaviors or thoughts that may be keeping you stuck.
-
Yes. I offer limited weekend and evening appointments, as well as select weekdays morning and afternoon availability.
-
Currently, I accept outpatient cases (1-2 sessions per week). During our initial consultation, we will discuss your needs and determine whether outpatient care or a higher level of support, such as inpatient or residential treatment, would be most helpful.
-
If you are experiencing a crisis or need help immediately, please call 911, visit a local emergency room or call a 24/7 crisis hotline, such as the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline at 988. Please know you are not alone and that it is okay to feel overwhelmed and need help.

Yes, online psychological testing is similar to in-person testing as long as it follows the same testing standards. I have conducted ADHD, trauma, and personality testing both virtually and in-person with similar results. For certain tests, such as neuropsychological tests (which are not offered), this cannot be done online given the nature of those tests.
-
There is no need to prepare yourself for psychological testing. It is recommend that you use a laptop or desktop computer (not your phone) that has a good camera and sound to ensure a smooth testing experience.
-
Typically once you complete your psychological testing you will receive the report 1-2 weeks afterward during your feedback session. If you need the report sooner, you can pay an additional fee to obtain the results more quickly.
Psychological Assessment
-
No, I am currently an out-of-network provider, as are many therapists in the DC area. However, many insurance providers, like Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, United Health Care, or TriCare have out-of-network benefits. If you call the member’s services number on the back of your insurance card you can inquire about your out-of-network benefits and they will let you know what portion of the cost they will reimburse you for.
-
Some questions that may be helpful to ask are:
What is my eligibility for out-of-network mental health/behavioral health outpatient care?
How much will be covered for office visits with the CPT code of 90834 (Mental Health Services) or 90791 (Psychiatric Diagnostic Evaluation)?
Do I have a deductible that must be met before reimbursement begins?
How many sessions are covered by my plan in a calendar year?
-
We do not work directly with insurance to be able to provide care that is personalized, flexible, and accessible. This way we are not limited by diagnosis or session caps and can move at a pace that feels right for you and safeguards your privacy.
